Accidents: Sept. 9: A two-vehicle accident was reported with no known injuries and both vehicles off the road;

Sept. 10: A possible vehicle in the ditch was reported with lights still on;

Sept. 11: A Todd Twp. caller reported their 15-year-old son possibly broke his arm hitting a tree with an ATV.

Animal Related: Sept. 5: A County 39 caller reported an injured deer needing to be dispatched; A County 3 caller reported cattle on the road; A Cass County unit responded to a vehicle on County 4 that had hit two deer, and officer dispatched them;

Sept. 6: A dead deer was reported in the middle of the road;

Sept. 8: A Crow Wing Lake Twp. caller reported a missing, 7-month-old Dobermann pinscher with a red collar, answering to “Duke”; A caller reported 3-4 little pigs running around in the middle of the road;

Sept. 9: A Crow Wing Lake Twp. caller reported two pitbulls in their yard, acting aggressive; A 175th Ave. caller reported two loose dogs at his residence;

Sept. 10: A Farden Twp. caller reported his neighbors’ dogs were in his yard; A caller requested officer assist, reporting a female picked up a dog by a driveway, put it in a kennel and drove toward Bemidji; A car-deer collision was reported;

Sept. 11: A caller reported a fawn hit by a vehicle, off the side of the road.

Assaults/Harassment: Sept. 5: A County 16 caller reported her husband was upset and punching items; A County 80 caller reported a verbal disturbance involving an out-of-control 16-year-old;

Sept. 6: An Arago Twp. caller reported threats; A Beltrami County line caller reported a female neighbor harassing their son while he was riding a dirt bike on the roadway to check their cows;

Sept. 7: A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller in the Laporte area reported her husband threatened her; A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller reported their husband was at the residence, pounding on the door, and their father with dementia was outside; A Helga Twp. caller reported someone calling a lot and leaving a disturbing message; An Akeley Twp. caller reported threats being made by their landlord;

Sept. 8: A County 7 caller reported her adopted daughter was being harassed by her birth mother; A 269th Ave. caller reported threats occurring Aug. 28 during a dispute over a construction job in Grand Rapids and Bemidji; A Todd Twp. caller reported a domestic issue, saying the male was pushing her around;

Sept. 9: A County 40 caller had questions for an officer about a female who was harassing him;

Sept. 10: A County 109 caller reported their neighbor was “getting ornery” and didn’t want it to escalate; A County 38 caller reported their daughter’s behavior was out of control; A 160th St. caller reported receiving harassing communications from his neighbor’s girlfriend;

Sept. 11: A caller reported a couple arguing in a vehicle with the motor running; An Akeley caller reported a female was at the house again, with a harassment restraining order against her that had not been served.

Burglaries/Theft: Sept. 5: A Henrietta Twp. caller reported a chainsaw and a portable air compressor stolen within the past three weeks;

Sept. 6: A garage door alarm was activated and canceled on County 4; A burglar alarm was activated at the Nevis bait and tackle store, with a male on the premises did not have the code while the keyholders could not be reached;

Sept. 7: A caller reported items stolen from his truck on Sept. 5 while parked at an access;

Sept. 8: A Nevis caller reported a theft; A County 33 caller reported a woman with two kids squatting in a camper and refusing to leave the trailer park; A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller wanted to speak to a deputy about a harassment order he has against him; A

Sept. 9: A a back hallway entry alarm was tripped twice in Laporte, and no keyholders had been reached; North and south cabin door alarms were activated on County 87; A 210th St. caller reported a scam call claiming that his grandson was in jail and needed bail funds; An Arago Twp. caller reported a Stihl saw, tools, full gas cans and an old fishing spear were stolen within the last 30 days;

Sept. 10: A Mantrap Twp. caller reported a Taurus pistol loaded with 45s was stolen between Sept. 9 and 10;

Sept. 11: A garage-to-house door alarm was activated on Long Lake, and keyholders could not be reached.

Fires: Sept. 7: A hallway smoke detector was activated on 169th Ave.;

Sept. 11: A Nevis Twp. caller reported a carbon monoxide detector going off, and said they changed the battery Sept. 10 but it kept going off.

Medical: Sept. 5: An ambulance was requested in Guthrie Twp. for a female having difficulty breathing; An ambulance was requested on County 80 for an elderly male who fell earlier and was in pain and having trouble moving;

Sept. 6: An ambulance was requested on County 93 for a male who fell; An ambulance was requested on State Hwy. 34 in the Nevis area for a male feeling unwell, with possible mental health issues; An ambulance was requested in Park Rapids for a female who tripped in a parking lot; An ambulance was requested on County 25 for a male having a “really bad” panic attack, with possible mental health issues;

Sept. 7: An ambulance was requested on County 40 for a female who fell, with possible injuries; An ambulance was requested on 219th Ave. for severe abdominal pains; An ambulance was requested on County 109 for a female with a gash on her leg from falling onto a dock;

Sept. 8: An ambulance was requested in Lakeport Twp. for a possible stroke; An ambulance was requested in Badoura Twp. for a 72-year-old male who fell and had a cut on his head; An ambulance was requested on County 9 for a male who had a hernia pop out and couldn’t get it to go back in; An ambulance was requested in Nevis for a male described as “out of it,” starting to sweat and becoming lethargic;

Sept. 9: An ambulance was requested in Clover Twp. for an 87-year-old male having difficulty breathing;

Sept. 10: An ambulance was requested in Nevis Twp. for a couple who recently had COVID and were in declining health; An ambulance was requested in Henrietta Twp. for a female who fell and had a bump on her head; An ambulance was requested in Henrietta Twp. for a male with a possible broken hip;

Sept. 11: An ambulance was requested at St. Mary’s Church in Two Inlets for a female who was hit by a vehicle and having hip pain.

Miscellaneous: Sept. 5: A Beltrami County line caller was suspicious about an unknown male walking around their residence; An anonymous caller reported a car parked on the side of the roadway with its windows smashed out;

Sept. 6: A Nevis caller wanted to speak with an officer about an employee firing that might not go very well; A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller in the Laporte area reported three kids who were not in school, still sleeping at their mother’s house; Law enforcement did a school walk-through in Laporte; An Akeley caller had questions about child custody and an order for protection; A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller reported a female yelling at the residence, dropping off garbage and damaging a vehicle’s body; Law enforcement did a school walk-through in Nevis; A County 18 caller reported their intoxicated boyfriend locked caller out of the house and may have passed out; An Akeley caller reported his landlord shut off power to his unit, though his eviction notice wasn’t due until Sept. 18, but caller didn’t try to call landlord due to recent conflicts;

Sept. 7: Law enforcement did a business check in Nevis; Law enforcement did a school walk-through in Nevis;

Sept. 8: A Park Rapids caller requested either assistance getting back to her cabin or getting her car keys to her husband after being transported by ambulance overnight; Law enforcement did a business check in Nevis; A County 4 caller asked if there is a county noise ordinance about semis jake braking; Law enforcement did a school walk-through in Nevis;

Sept. 9: Officer assist was requested on 500th St.; A County 9 reported a female who stopped to ask odd questions, seeming suspicious, and caller had a doorbell cam picture; Law enforcement did a business check in Nevis; Law enforcement did a school walk-through in Nevis;

Sept. 10: Law enforcement patrolled a volleyball tournament in Laporte; Clearwater and Beltrami counties both reported open-line 911 calls from a number mapped to the intersection of County 9 and 109th Ave.; A Farden Twp. caller reported a male possibly doing drugs by a wood pile next door; An open-line 911 call on Wolf Lake sounded like caller was on a boat, and upon callback dispatch left a voicemail; A 911 hang-up caller, upon callback, said they didn’t call 911 and hung up, then dispatch called back and left a message; A Nevis Twp. caller complained about a neighbor shooting guns approximately 300 feet from caller’s residence; A County 29 caller reported two suspicious people, seen on camera with vehicles; Wadena County asked for a deputy to meet them to escort a female into Park Rapids;

Sept. 11: A County 13 caller had questions for a deputy about custody of her son’s child, whose mother died Sept. 10; A 285th Ave. caller had questions about the neighbors’ shooting class; A 190th St. caller reported their mailbox was damaged with the pole out of the ground, and the neighbor’s as well; A Farden Twp. caller wanted to speak with a deputy about a foster child who was becoming troublesome; A caller was suspicious about a man with a bag at the pavilion in Laporte.

Traffic: Sept. 5: A boat and water violation was reported; An RV pulling a boat was reported swerving on the roadway; Motorist assist was requested; Bemidji Ambulance personnel reported three stranded motorists whose lights were dim; An officer stopped a side-by-side; A caller reported some type of tarp on the roadway;

Sept. 6: A caller reported a car passed them at excessive speed, almost causing a head-on collision; A driving complaint was reported; A caller reported a GMC pickup with an “extremely intoxicated” driver, believed to be heading to a bar in Nevis;

Sept. 7: A County 24 caller reported a Mazda ZX5 “bouncing” between the lines and driving down the centerline; A caller reported a truck pulling a camper with the passenger-side door of the camper open and items falling out; Law enforcement provided a motorist assist;

Sept. 8: A caller reported a vehicle swerving all over the roadway; A truck lost a load of gravel on the roadway;

Sept. 9: An ATV issue was reported; An anonymous caller reported a Chevrolet Corvette driving erratically; An AIS inspector had questions about a boat being removed; A County 4 caller reported a reckless driver;

Sept. 10: A caller reported a bull hauler swerving all over the road; A caller reported an SUV pulling a boat, swerving all over the road; Multiple ATV violations were reported; A Henrietta Twp. caller reported a couple vehicles driving recklessly; A caller reported a vehicle swerving all over the roadway at fluctuating speeds,hitting the crosswalk sign on County 80; A caller reported 4-5 juveniles near the Fish Hook River access, scaring drivers;

Sept. 11: A Ford Explorer was reported swerving, almost causing an accident; a boat and water violation was reported; A County 33 caller reported an increased number of speeders; A Henrietta Twp. caller reported kids driving ATVs and dirtbikes recklessly on public trails, and caller believed they were not registered because they had no plates; A vehicle was slow to pull over when stopped by law enforcement.
