Garden deals this great don't come along often: to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend, Argos is delivering massive discounts on gardening machinery from the likes of Flymo, Black + Decker, McGregor and Spear & Jackson. That includes lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, pressure cleaners, chainsaws and even a cute shed.
We've rounded up some of the biggest garden deals further down the page, but you can peruse all of the offers yourself by following the yellow link immediately below. Just get in there quickly because they'll only last until the end of the long weekend.
Beginning with the lawn mowers, you can currently save £25 on the electric Flymo EasiStore (now £115), which is ideal for small or medium-sized lawns. As the name suggests, it also won't take up much room in your shed or garage. You can also save a tasty £30 on the company's EasiGlide Plus 330, which is incredibly easy to use – even one-handed.
Moving up the scale, you can save the same amount, £25, on this petrol-powered Yard Force lawn mower (now £170). This has a lot more cutting power than the Flymos above, while a generous 45-litre collecting bag means you're not constantly trudging to the compost heap.
Moving on to hedge trimmers, the 60cm corded McGregor trimmer is now just £45, which is incredibly cheap, while the 51cm Spear & Jackson with a battery has had £20 knocked off its price (now £100), making it a good choice for bigger clipping jobs.
Next, pressure washers. Everyone loves to blast a patio or car with water on a hot summer day and now you can for a lot less with this heavily discounted Spear & Jackson 2,000W model (now £150). It's a very powerful machine that will make short work of ingrained grime.
Sticking with water, there are plenty of hose deals on Argos over the Jubilee weekend too. For instance, this budget-friendly 15m reinforced hose set from McGregor is now a mere £8 (down from £12), while you can step up to 25m for £12.
One of the most eye-catching discounts is on a chainsaw. The Black + Decker CS225-GB corded chainsaw would usually set you back £120, but it's temporarily 20% cheaper at £96. This 2,220W saw will tackle branches, undergrowth and small trees with aplomb. It has a few handy safety features too, including a responsive brake and a sizable guard.
That brings us to the biggest saving, which is on a dinky and good-looking shed. The Forest Garden Overlap Retreat Shed measures 1.5 x 2 x 2.4m (WDH) and is crafted from kiln-dried redwood timber in a charming traditional style. It even has a couple of old-fashioned glazed windows. Best of all? It's now just £3,999, down £1,001 from its normal cost of £5,000. Wow.
It's unusual to get so many head-turning garden deals in one place, but again get in there as soon as possible because they will only last until the end of the Platinum Jubilee weekend. Happy shopping!
